The history of this ABC bodied speedster was described in the March 1953 issue of Speed Mechanics magazine.  Its history is typical of the way many speedsters were built.  It started life as a 1914 roadster pickup used for deliveries by a department store.  After that it started a new life in 1923 as a speedster.  The engine modifications described were also quite typical of the era.  After this article was written, the car laid up for many years, Bob Ebert sold it to Tony Oliveira in the early 1990s.  I purchased it in 2000.
